'Disadvantage and discrimination in Amsterdam education' is a brochure by Maurice Crul, Carl Steinmetz and Frans Lelie and describes harrowing situations in which pupils of colour and/or with a migrant background and their mothers face prejudice, racism and disadvantage.

The brochure is the result of the Stories and Transformation project, which began in 2019 and systematically collected stories from mothers and pupils. The brochure is a first step. The next step is a Citizens' Council of parents from migrant backgrounds and parents of colour. They are the experience experts in Amsterdam.
Zeppa provided a clear and accessible design so that the brochure can serve as basic material for the citizens' council. We asked Hedi Tjin for the illustrations.
The black-and-white design, together with the powerful illustrations, forms a strong whole and ensures that the militant character of the brochure comes across well.
